Discount The Met Store Harney & Sons Favrile Luster Milky Oolong Tea

The Met has partnered with Harney & Sons on this unique, art-inspired tin containing loose-leaf oolong tea and displaying a detail from a Favrile glass vase (ca. 1900) by Louis C. Tiffany (American, 1848–1933).

This smooth-as-silk blend nods to lustrous, peacock feather-inspired treasure in the Museum’s holdings. In the early 1890s, the designer developed a method of blending colors in glass while it was in a molten state. He called the results “Favrile,” and was duly celebrated for his extraordinary innovation.
